A: No, you do not need any additional hardware. Your mobile orders will be received directly into your Toast POS, and either automatically printed/sent to your KDS or may first require approval from staff.
Q: Are payments from SpeedETab transactions bundled together with my in-store transactions through Toast?
A: Your SpeedETab transactions are processed separately from your in-store transactions. Processing is handled through your agreed upon merchant services provider on your SpeedETab agreement. These funds may be direct deposited into the same account your in-store transactions are deposited into.
Q: Do I need to have Toast online ordering set up in order to have SpeedETab?
A: No, you do not need to have Toast online ordering. Your mobile app operates entirely separately from your web ordering experience.
Q: Do I need to pay Toast extra in order to integrate SpeedETab?
A: SpeedETab is part of the Toast Integration Toolkit. Toast charges a flat monthly fee of $25 to merchants leveraging the integration toolkit, which gives access to a wide variety of partners. If you are already leveraging an existing integration partner, you do not need to pay any additional fees to Toast for leveraging SpeedETab.
Q: Does my Toast menu sync to my app?
A: Yes! SpeedETab uses your existing Toast menu to import menu information into your app. If you'd like to create a separate, order-ahead-specific menu, you are able to do this as well. You can read more about this here and here.
Q: What if I have menu changes?
A: You may remove, add, or edit items on your Toast menu at any time. All additions or edits will be reflected on the next day's menu. Menu item removals may be done in real-time by accessing your SpeedETab Merchant Portal and removing the item.
Q: I use Toast KDS. Will SpeedETab work with this?
A: Yes! SpeedETab integrates with Toast KDS to send your mobile orders directly onto your display screen. Once an order is bumped off, users will receive a push notification letting them know their order is ready.
Q: Can I use my delivery zones that I've set up in Toast?
A: Yes! SpeedETab uses the same delivery parameters as your Toast POS to let you keep your delivery business consistent and easy.
Q: Does my Toast loyalty program carry onto my app?
A: Your Toast loyalty program does not currently integrate with mobile orders. However, you may leverage your SpeedETab loyalty & rewards program for users of your mobile app.
