For merchants leveraging the SpeedETab + Toast POS integration, menu items may run out of stock, or become '86' during the course of operating hours. To ensure mobile app users are not able to order menu items that are out of stock, follow these steps:
Step 1: Mark this item as 86'd on your Toast POS or Toast portal. You can read more about how to do this here. When an item is marked as out of stock on your Toast system, it will still appear on your app, however, your users will not be able to successfully place an order with this item in the cart.
Step 2: Email contact@speedetab.com or your Client Success Manager directly to have this item removed from the menu. Once this is complete, users will not be able to view this menu item within your SpeedETab app.
Note 1: As menus are synced on a daily basis, items that have been removed during the course of a business day will reappear on the following day's menu unless the item has been removed from the menu within your Toast order ahead menu.
Note 2: While items may be removed in real-time from your SpeedETab menu, items cannot be re-added to your app menu during the course of the same business day, nor may new items be added same-day.
