What is a push notification?
Push notifications are messages sent directly to a user's phone. They may be received whether the user is currently using the application or not, even with their phone off. Push notifications may be sent at any time, and are often used by companies/developers to communicate and engage with users on a variety of topics, from specials and promotions to current events.
Can users opt in and out of receiving push notifications?
Yes, a user may select whether they wish to receive push notifications or not, and may change this setting within their device at any time.
How do we send push notifications to our users?
For updates around their order status, users will automatically receive push notifications from SpeedETab.
For marketing push notifications, please email your Client Success Manager with the requested copy of your notification. We recommend push notification copy to be no longer than 140 characters. Push notification requests must be sent with 48 hours notice and may be scheduled in advance at any time.
An example of a push notification advance calendar may be:
July 3rd:"We're celebrating America with $2 off our Apple Pies tomorrow with code 'ILOVEPIE' at all of our stores! Make sure to stop in before they're all gone!"
July 12th:"Summer is in full swing! Cool down this afternoon with our brand new Peach Hibiscus Iced Tea."
July: 22nd: "We're now open in Brooklyn! Stop by our newest store on the corner of 6th St and 2nd Ave to check out the new digs!"
July 31st: "It's finally Friday! Get our Classic Cheeseburger delivered right to your door this weekend and get $3 off with code ITSTHEWKND!"
